Merry Sun day afternoon my friends! It’s a dark and gloomy and rainy day! It cooled things down so much I had to shut the house windows and doors and was contemplating a small fire in the fireplace LOL! I LOVE it! I’m not a fan of the heat…as you all know…so this is just fine by me!

As you’re reading this….and the whole point of this particular blog post…is to show you my Newly designed Blog! For quite some time now I have wanted to hire someone to help me make my blog more my own. To design a logo with me, to add things to the sidebars I couldn’t figure out how to do..etc etc.
I found that person in Tara Barnow Smith and her design company Exclusively Yours Designs. Here’s the link. http://www.exclusivelyyoursdesigns.com/. She worked with me to find a logo of my own. She asked me about colors, what I needed the logos for. She wanted to know what I felt was missing from my blog, what I wanted to keep, what could go etc etc. She was quick and very fairly priced and well….this is what we came up with together. I just couldn’t be more pleased with it!
I love the lady on the Moon logo and my banner at the top. If you look on the right sidebar…you’ll find new buttons. Buttons for my Verbena Lane Etsy page and facebook page (which also have new banners and logos.) You’ll find buttons for the Sunday Stew and Samhain’s Sirens that I also write for and a few other tweaks here and there. We decided to use the same lady on the Moon logo for Verbena Lane..only adding herbs and green into the Moon rather then blue and stars. Such a great idea!
Anyway, I wanted to show it off….tell you all about Tara and her wonderful work…and in case you want to re-vamp your blog, or start a new blog…I highly recommend her!

Beautiful sunny day here in CA. Have a little tomato that just popped out on my first tomato plant. Very exciting! I just planted some herbs and squash in pots last week. A fun new project.
Yesterday I pressure canned 7 1/2 lbs of spinach and today working on some mushrooms. Preparing some glazed carrots to can next.

I love the stars and logo, too! And I like that the stars are only on the border and the text is easy to read. Some blogs are too low contrast for my old eyes! Hahaha

I love your blog I always feel better after I’ve read it. The color choice is great it reminds me of my favorite stone, Lapis Lazuli. My own garden is going great all is blooming and the hummingbirds have returned. Thanks for your blog!
